[REVIEW] Essence Lip Liner - 05 Soft Berry

So, back in here again Invaders,

And this one is officially included in my lip liner game. Been having this for a while but I just had time to review this about recently. What I'm talking about is Essence Lip Liner in 05 Soft Berry. Essence is one of drugstore brand from Europe and lets read further to know more about the product.

About in the middle of 2014, Essence came to Indonesia especially in Bandung, West Java. It was exciting me that I came to Bandung and visited one of the two official booths to get some hauls (at Yogya Riau Junction). One of the haul was this lip liner. Unfortunately, I heard from a friend who's the local people there in Bandung that Essence is no longer available in Indonesia. Too bad of their short-coming, because there's still many stuff in my haul list that I want to buy.

But, since I have this lip liner, so let's check out the performance of this product. I hope that Essence will come back to Indonesia as the products are somewhat considered as a cheap one with a nice quality.

~ PRODUCT INFO ~

The cool lipliner colors ensure clear contours and beautiful, shapely lips. A practical effect: the lipliner is smudge-proof and especially long-lasting.

~ PACKAGING ~

As many non-expensive product out there, Essence lip liner comes with a form of pencil with the body represents the color of the shade. The cap is from plastic with silver color.

There's some information on the body of the pencil which contain the brand, the origin country and the shade name.

~ TEXTURE and COLOR ~

The texture that I found in this product is very soft and moisturizing. The pigmentation is also very great for the price range. Since it comes in the form of a pencil, so sharpening is a must. But be extra careful because the lip liner bullet is so soft that it's so weak and easily broken.

The color 05 - Soft Berry that I own is somewhat has deep color on me, though it's called "soft berry". Really has the full cover. I expected that it would a bit more plum on me but in the reality, it's really purple, the deepest as much as I can notice. I see a bit of grey undertone in this color. What do you say?

~ PRICE and AVAILABILITY ~

The price? It's only US$1,5. Very cheap! Though I don't remember the exact price when I bought it in Indonesian Rupiah, but I guess from the convert, it might be around Rp30,000. It definitely is becoming the great rival to Indonesia's local cosmetic products.

Well, since the booths in Bandung has officially closed at this time, this product can be purchased through pre-order by some online shop of your choice. I notice that the nearest country you can find this product is in Singapore.

~ CON (s) ~

Not available in Indonesia
The lip liner bullet is too soft and weak
You have to be extra careful to apply on your lips or it's broken
Because it's too soft, the use can be too extravagant
Sharpening could be messy

~ MY VERDICT ~

I like the fact that it gives a full coverage to my lips. It doesn't have any strange smell and moisturizes as well. The pencil form is also small enough to be sneaked in the make up pouch. Once it's set, it stays on pretty much in the long time and slightly transfer on to the glass when drinking. But, I don't like the fact that the lip liner bullet is too soft to the state it's too weak and easily broken during the use. Like you apply an extra creamy lipstick but in the form of a pencil. It makes you to sharpen it often. Though, sharpening activity can be so much messy as it's too soft and weak. I need to extra clean my sharpener after sharpening this lip liner. but as the price is the way too cheap, I think I don't need to hard complain.
