[REVIEW] * Shizen Gokochi Facial Soap - Charcoal

Hi Invaders,

So, right now, I'm telling about my current skin care routine product in facial cleansing: Shizen Gokochi Facial Soap in Charcoal which I got from Kawaii Beauty Japan as a goodie bag from their Spring Blogger Gathering.

Having my face cleansed with such a soap bar is not really my thing. I don't know but it's just my preference that I don't find any comfort in using facial soap bar. Though, I keep using it and I'm kindda pretty happy with the result which this soap bar gives to my face.

Shizengokochi Facial Soap in Charcoal is a facial soap bar. The brand itself is under COW-Style Indonesia which produces many skin care products and it's from Japan. The information that I get from its official website is:

The soap bar comes with a standard carton box which hides the bar. When I opened it, the bar was covered with a plastic and it included a net pocket which at first I didn't know what it was for.

The soap itself is black which we know it represents the color of charcoal with some of Japanese letters engraved on it and oval shape.

~ TEXTURE and FORMULA ~

The soap texture is of course forms the hard material. It produces white lather which I felt not soft neither harsh for the skin.

The formula itself is:

Soap Base, Soap Base contained Potassium Salt of Fatty Acid, Palm Acid, Sodium Oleate, Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Charcoal Powder, Sodium Hyaluronate, Myristic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Lauric Acid, Methyl Gluceth-20, Polyquatternium-7, Cellulose Gum, Fragrance, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Tetrasodium ETRA.

The market price of this soap bar is Rp75,000 and you can get it both offline and online at Guardian, Grand Lucky, Watson, Metro (offline) and Sukamart, Nihonmart (online).

~ VERDICT ~

When I first used it, I felt weird. Hahaha, simply because it's only my preference that I seldom to choose facial cleansing with a soap bar. But, upon using, I find that my skin turned into being soft and supple. The soap really helps my skin to refresh and back to its normal condition, considering that I have a combination of dry and oily skin. Maybe, somekind like making my skin condition becomes balance.

To the scent, although it is written that it has a fragrance but I barely notice any fragrance comes out from the soap during the use, even the lather, which I found it no problem since I tend to choose any facial products without scents.

My skin reaction to this product is Thank God none of the break out coming, or any dryer condition becoming. So I may say that my skin finds it fine with it.

For the price worth, maybe for some people the price is about exaggerate until you find that the soap will last for about 6 months (or so) ahead from the first use. Believe it or not, the last Kawaii Beauty Japan Blogger Gathering that I attended is at the end of March 2015 and I have been using the soap not precisely but for about a month later after I ran out the facial foam I used at that time (around April 2015). Now is November 2015 and I AM STILL USING IT, twice a day... It's a WOW product comparing to the price. Meaning, I have been using the soap for 7 months! The soap is still there and I still keep using it as my daily facial cleansing soap.

The reason why it took so long for me to review this, simply because I wanted to know the reaction if I use this product over and over again for daily routine. As I mentioned above that nothing comes during the use except for the skin refresh and soft. I also notice that my skin secretes the excess dead skin cells upon cleansing which means that the soap really deep cleansing my skin. Also, it doesn't give any rough feeling right after the use like many other soap bar I ever used (that's why I prefer choosing facial foam to soap bar).
